Ottomani

Description

Ottomani is a small, quality-driven winery located in Strada in Chianti, within the commune of Greve, at the heart of Chianti Classico. Founded by a group of friends united by a shared vision, the estate was created with the goal of producing authentic wines that express place, vintage, and grape variety without artifice.

The vineyards are farmed organically, with a strong focus on biodiversity and healthy soils. Yields are kept deliberately low, and each plot is vinified separately to preserve its individual character. Sangiovese is the core of the estate’s identity, interpreted through precision rather than power.

In the cellar, Ottomani follows a philosophy of minimal intervention. Fermentations take place primarily in concrete using native yeasts, with gentle extraction and long macerations. Ageing is carried out in traditional Tuscan oak, chosen to support the wine rather than shape it. The result is a range of wines that are vibrant, structured, and deeply rooted in Chianti Classico, combining freshness, depth, and a strong sense of terroir.
