Champagne

Champagne, in northeastern France, is the world’s most famous sparkling-wine region, where the second fermentation happens in the bottle using the traditional method. Its cool climate delivers high acidity and a precise, taut freshness, while chalk and limestone soils add a mineral, subtly saline edge.

The main grapes are Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Meunier, used to produce styles like Blanc de Blancs (100% Chardonnay) and Blanc de Noirs (made from black grapes only).

Champagne is prized for its finesse, structure, and its ability to evolve beautifully with age.
