Franciacorta

Franciacorta is a prestigious sparkling wine region in Lombardy, in northern Italy, located between Brescia and the southern shores of Lake Iseo. Known for its elegant, method-traditional sparkling wines made primarily from Chardonnay and Pinot Nero, Franciacorta is often considered Italy’s most refined answer to Champagne. The region combines glacial soils, rolling morainic hills and a temperate climate influenced by the nearby lake, resulting in wines that are precise, structured and mineral, with remarkable ageing potential and a strong sense of place.
